ICMICA African Workshop on Human Right and Sustainable Development will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from May 5 to 10, 2002. This Workshop will be hosted by a newly formed young professional group of ICMICA in Kenya. On May 11, 2002, ICMICA Africa regional consultation meeting will take place with the participation of representatives of all ICMICA federations and groups in Africa. ICMICA Asian Workshop on Human Right and Sustainable Development will take place in Bali, Indonesia from May 23 to 28, 2002. This Workshop will be hosted by the two ICMICA Federations in Indonesia, known as ISKA and People's Foundation in co-operation with PMKRI, IMCS affiliated Catholic student movement in Indonesia. On May 29, 2002, ICMICA Asia/Pacific regional consultation meeting will take place with the participation of representatives of all ICMICA federations and groups in Asia/Pacific region. The Workshop participants will attend the NGO Forum and the PrepCom IV of the UN WSSD (World Summit on Sustainable Movement) which will also take place in Bali, Indonesia from May 27 to June 7, 2002. ICMICA Europe will hold its European Assembly in Bilbao, Basque Country from June 14 to 16, 2002. It will be hosted by JMBKA, ICMICA Federation in Basque Country and the theme of the study session is inter-religious dialogue. A meeting of experts on sustainable development will also be organised in May or June as part of the European preparation on WSSD. ICMICA Latin America & Inter-continental Workshop will take place in Lima, Peru from July 1 to 5, 2002. This workshop, hosted by MPC, ICMICA Federation in Peru, will be the last one in a series of continental preparatory meetings. It is expected to synthesise all the inputs in order to prepare for ICMICA participation in the WSSD Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa from August 26 to September 4, 2002. The 89th Session of the ICMICA International Council will take place in Lima, Peru from July 6 to 7, for two days immediately after the Workshop.
The Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) III of the WSSD in UN in New York from March 25 to April 5, 2002. Anselmo Lee, Secretary General and Kevin Ahern, Pax Romana Representative to UN in New York will attend it.
